About Linda

Linda has loved songs since she was born. She was enthralled by the music that emanated from the piano at church on Sunday mornings, and begged and begged for a piano. When she was seven, two of her older sisters surprised her with the birthday present of her dreams, a second-hand piano, and she started piano lessons right away. The lyrics of the songs were as intriguing to her as the music. Most of her practice time was spent on the songs, which she could sing. Piano lessons ceased after a few years but Linda continued to sing and play the familiar tunes that she loved.

During the next few decades, Linda pursued a teaching career, which spanned all grades in the elementary school panel. She was a natural teacher and her experiences with the regular and special education students were exciting for her. Assisting teachers and parents as a resource teacher was fascinating. Life was good. After 32 years of teaching, the opportunity to retire arose and Linda embraced the next phase of her life with enthusiasm.

In 2001, her life took an unexpected shift and she was in uncharted territory. It was music that gave her the drive to get up in the morning. It was music that could raise her spirit and give her direction. She would be listening to a song that she had heard many times and a line would touch her in a deep place and cause release, or relief, or reflection. As she was reinventing her life, she started to take voice lessons just for fun. She discovered she loved to perform and got positive feedback about her efforts.

Finding sheet music for the songs that uplifted her was time and energy consuming. One day she very clearly stated to her teacher, “What I need is a person with a university degree in writing music. I will educate that person in the teachings of Abraham and the principles of the Unity faith. He or she can write the music and I'll sing the songs.”

Spirit apparently liked that idea but had a different twist. Six hours later, during some unscheduled, quiet time, her first song, “The Stream of Well-Being”, came to her and through her. She had asked and a song was given. It was a beginning of an adventure, of an ongoing great ride. She already knew the person with the university music degree and he was eager to help turn her tunes into music. When ideas were given, assistance was only a question away.

Inspired by the teachings of Abraham, the principles of the Unity faith, the tenets of The Secret, the writings and broadcasts of Wayne Dyer and her life experiences, Linda offers her music to you. May it bless and inspire you on your journey.
